This type of magic show known as the "oriental magician" was very popular until 1940. The Fak-Hongs were a mid-level magic troupe who disguised themselves as Asian mystics. They were often presented with another magician known as Chang, a Panamanian named Juan José Pablo Jesorum (1889-1972).
